We create transformational leaders of the twenty-first century, imbued with the spirit of Christ.
Our Mission Statement is central to our school:
This underpins our whole school culture and ethos - of which we are incredibly proud. In keeping with Catholic Social Teaching principles, our pupils are supported and encouraged to put their faith into action in their own lives. This is demonstrated through their relationships with others and the kindness and generosity they show to those less fortunate than themselves across all walks of life.
During the Autumn Term, we welcomed a very special visitor to St Joseph’s. The Archbishop of Cardiff—Mark O’Toole, came to celebrate a whole school assembly with us, as well as visiting and spending time with each of the classes. This was a wonderful occasion and we were all inspired by his Grace’s reflection on the Gospel reading and how we are beacons of lights and together can shine brightly to make the world a better place.

Today we celebrated whole school Mass, to mark the start of our new term. Thank you to Father Nick for leading this special event and fellow parishioners from St Frances of Rome for joining us. As always, our children read and sang beautifully.
Druing the Spring, we had the most amazing day at the Malvern Hills! We walked over 3 miles during the day, in support of CAFOD. Well done to everyone that took part—it really was a fantastic experience for wellbeing and physical development! Our Year 1 children just wanted to keep walking all day!

We aim to demonstrate our school values at every opportunity, both in school and in our wider community.

Grateful and Generous | Pupils in a Jesuit school are growing to be grateful for their own gifts, for the gift of other people, and for the blessings of each day; and generous with their gifts, becoming men and women for others. |
Attentive & Discerning | Pupils are growing to be attentive to their experience and to their vocation; and discerning about the choices they make and the effects of those choices. |
Compassionate & Loving | Pupils are growing to be compassionate towards others, near and far, especially the less fortunate; and loving by their just actions and forgiving words. |
Faith-Filled & Hopeful | Pupils growing to be faith-filled in their beliefs and hopeful for the future. |
Eloquent & Truthful | Pupils are growing to be eloquent and truthful in what they say of themselves, the relations between people, and the world. |
