    Our Grateful Tree

Swift Class have been learning about our new values this term - 'grateful' and 'generous'. We first talked about what these words meant and how these words make us feel. The children then reflected on their lives and had a think about things and people that they were grateful for. Using our hands, we thought of 5 things each and shared these thoughts with the class. The children were really mindful and caring when it came to sharing and discovered that they are grateful for so many things. Miss Sadler then wrote down the children's responses onto their handprints and we have added them to our grateful tree.

Forest School - Who Lives Here

Swift Class enjoyed their afternoon at Forest School, answering our science question 'Who Lives Here?' In class, the children first looked closely at different habitats and discussed what kind of animal might live in these different environments. We then talked about our own houses and had a look at homes from all around the world. We then ventured to Forest School where the children enjoyed building a range of homes; everything from a hedgehog house, a den and even an ant tunnel! Great investigating Swift Class!
