  • British Values

    Promoting Fundamental British Values.

We aim to actively promote British values to ensure our young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.

    The Key Values are:

    • Democracy
    • Rule of law
    • Individual liberty
    • Mutual respect
    • Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs

We also celebrate British Values Week during the year, as a school community. Each class takes part in various activities that explore the different values. The children enjoy writing poems, holding topical debates, matching given scenarios to the appropriate values and learning more about British culture and traditions. Throughout the year we continue to apply our knowledge of British Values through participating in events, such as Parliament Week , Aspirations Week, International Neighbours Week, Black History Month and many more enriching learning experiences for our children to enjoy.
